David is a LCSW and a native of Springfield, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he had the opportunity to travel the country and the world. After an honorable discharge, he enrolled at Westfield State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Political Science. David has worked in the human services field for over thirty years starting with residential treatment of adolescent males and transitioning to a variety of other sites, facilities, and populations. David worked as an elementary school teacher for 21 years before returning to earn his MSW from Norfolk State University where he graduated in 2021. In addition to becoming a fully licensed clinical social worker, David has completed the supervision requirements to become a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). David is committed to working with individuals from all walks of life. David’s empowerment approach is aimed at assisting others to become the best versions of themselves and to help them be the ones to define what that is.
